Senior Night: Bishop McCort 42, Central Cambria 6

Bishop McCort helped celebrate the Senior Night and Homecoming festivities with a win. The Crimson Crushers rolled past Central Cambria by a score of 42-6. The win improves McCort to 7-2 on the season with one regular season game remaining.

It did not take long for the Crushers to find the scoreboard. After a botched snap on a Central Cambria punt attempt, McCort took control on the Red Devils' 8 yard line and Levi Cook rushed it in from there. Chris Miller added the extra point to make it 7-0 just minutes into the game.

After an Imil Britt interception on Central Cambria's second possession, the McCort offense worked quickly once again. Cook found fellow senior Andre Nash for a 23 yard score which made it 14-0. Following a punt by the Red Devils, McCort again scored right away. Kristian Fleming took it in from 18 yards to make it 21-0, which was the score after the first quarter.

The second quarter became the Andre Nash show.  The senior running back opened the second quarter with a 12 yard touchdown run to increase the McCort lead to 27-0. Following a Central Cambria turnover on downs, Nash broke loose for a 65 yard touchdown to make it 34-0, and that was the score at the half.

Central Cambria came to life in the third quarter.  They produced a 12 play 83 yard drive on the first possession of the second half which was capped by a David O'Saben 8 yard touchdown which cut into the Crushers' lead at 34-6. That was it for both teams in the third quarter.

The Crushers opened the fourth quarter deep in Central Cambria territory. Senior Ridge Phillips rumbled into the end zone from 2 yards out, and Cook's conversion to Nash set the final score at 42-6.

Andre Nash led the McCort offense with 167 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He caught a touchdown pass and a two point conversion as well. It was Kristian Fleming who anchored the defense with a 10 tackle and 1 sack performance.
