#3. Pete O'Connor (2004-2006) —1,378 points:

Scored in double figures in 53 of 58 games over his past two seasons..In his senior year, scored over 20 points fifteen times…In his final game, he scored a career high 36 points vs. Aliquippa…He led the Crushers to a District VI Championship and a district runner-up in his final two seasons…Was a Third Team All-State Selection as a senior…Named to the All-Tournament Teams of the Homer Center Tournament, Windber Tournament, and UPJ Tournament…Selected first-team at the Golden Tiger Tournament and named the MVP at the Great Chevy Shootout…Named to the Laurel Highlands All-Conference team 2005 and 2006…Finished career 4th in Single Season total points with 600 and tied for third by averaging 21.4 points per game…Finished in Top 10 of five major career leading categories: total career points 1,378 (2nd), 534 field goals made (3rd), 55 3-point field goals made (8th), 205 free throws made (9th), and his 715 rebounds is good for 5th all-time.

#4. Dan Pavlick (1979-1981) —1,325 points:

First player to score 1,000 points in Bishop McCort boys basketball history…scored a career high 27 points twice in games against Portage and Bishop Carroll…Named to the 1978 UPJ All-Tournament Team…In 1980, named as the Most Valuable Player of the UPJ Tournament…Finished his career as 3rd in overall points scored…His 546 field goals made places him 2nd all-time and finished 6th all-time in free throws made with 233…Played along side fellow 1000 point scorer Mike Gresik.

#5. Scott Instone (1987-1989) —1,317 points:

In his first varsity start, he scored 24 points vs. Somerset at the Hilltopper Classic…This effort propelled him to an All-Tournament Team selection, which he would be named to three straight years…During his career, he scored 30 points three times, one of which was a career high 36 points versus Homer Center in his senior year…In both his junior and senior seasons, he was named to the All-Tournament teams at the Hilltopper Classic, the Windber Rotary Tournament, and the UPJ Mountain Cat Tournament, where he was named the MVP in his senior year...He led the Crushers to a district championship and a district runner-up…His 1000 point was scored on an assist from his brother, and fellow 1000 point club member, Craig…Set single season records in points scored with 659 and field goals made with 248—he finished second in single season scoring average with 22.7 points per game and free throws made with 163…He finished his career fourth all-time in points scored with 1,317, third in free throws made with 313, third in rebounds with 734, and fifth all-time in field goals made with 502.

#6. Craig Instone (1989-1991) —1,201 points:

Arguably the most versatile 1000 point scorer in McCort history…Named to the UPJ All-Tournament Team in his junior year…Selected as the MVP of the Windber Rotary Tournament as a senior…Scored a career high 32 points vs. State College… During his senior season, he scored 20 or more points fourteen times…During his three years as a varsity starter, he finished 7th all-time in single season points with 598, 10th all-time by averaging 19.3, his 219 field goals made places him 9th all-time…In 1990 he made 120 free throws which is good for 9th all-time and in 1991 his 148 free throws places him 3rd all-time…Set a single season record for rebounds by pulling down 392 in 1991…Ends his career fifth all-time with 1201 points, second in free throws made with 329, his 982 rebounds all-time is 2nd all-time, he tallied 243 assists which ties him for 7th and his 162 steals leaves him 5th all-time.

#7. Rashaun Puryear (1995-1997) —1,184 points:

Athletic post player, scored in double figures 13 times during his first season as a starter for McCort…Including 5 games with 20 or more points…As a sophomore, scored a career high 28 points vs. Ligonier Valley…A two-time UPJ All-Tournament Team selection as well as being named to the All-Tournament Team at the Blacklick Valley Tournament…scored over 20 points twenty-six times in his three year career…In 1997 his team leading 87 steals was good enough for 3rd all-time…Led the Crushers to a District VI Championship in 1997 and a trip to the elite eight of the PIAA…He finished his career as the all-time leading steals leader with 211, and fourth all-time in both field goals made with 503 and rebounds with 729.

#8. Mike Gresik (1979-1981) —1,159 points:

Noted as the second Bishop McCort player to reach the 1000 point plateau…Was a two-time UPJ All-Tournament selection in 1979 and 1980…Scored a career high 28 points three times in his career against Bishop Guilfoyle, Conemaugh Valley, and Mercyhurst Prep…During his senior season, scored over 26 points ten times…Finished tied for fifth in Single Season points with 599…A 20.7 points per game average leaves him 5th all-time…His 230 field goals made ties him for 5th all-time…In 1981, his 139 free throws made was fourth best all-time in Crusher history…For his career he finished 7th all-time in points scored with 1,159, sixth all-time with 449 field goals made, and fifth all-time with 261 free throws made.

#9. Mike Soloman (1991-1993) —1,090 points:

Found the ability to score the ball early in his career by pouring in 34 points vs. Altoona as a sophomore…As a junior in 1992, he was named the MVP of the Windber Rotary Tournament…During his senior season he topped the 20 point mark eleven times… Also led the team in scoring 21 of the team’s 27 games in 1993…Named to the Windber Rotary All-Tournament Team and named the UPJ Tournament Most Valuable player…Scored over 30 points three times in his career as he scored a career high 36 points vs. Bishop Carroll…His 540 points in 1993 is good enough for 10th all-time, as well as his 20.0 points per game which places him tied for 7th all-time…Finished his career 8th all-time in points scored with 1,090, field goals made with 434, and free throws made with 220.
