After forcing a Crusher punt, the Bison found the endzone again on an 11-yard Zach Shaffer run to make it 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Early in the second quarter, Bishop McCort closed the gap when sophomore quarterback

The Last Time 09.13.13- Somerset 21, Bishop McCort 3:
Despite another strong defensive effort, Bishop McCort was unable to keep up with visiting Somerset as the Golden Eagles flew away with a 21-3 victory last Friday night at Point Stadium dropping the Crushers to 0-3 on the season.
After stopping the Crushers on the opening possession, Somerset took their initial drive 55 yards in nine plays and scored on a 30-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tanner Stull to Bryce Mostoller giving the Golden Eagles a 7-0 lead.
The Crushers got on the scoreboard early in the second quarter. Bishop McCort drove deep into Somerset territory before being stopped at the Golden Eagle 10-yard line.
Braden Junker made a 27-yard field goal to close the gap to 7-3.
The Crushers looked poised to take the lead late in the second quarter as they again drove deep into Somerset territory. But, Somerset's Zach Baker intercepted a pass inside the 10-yard line and returned in across midfield into Crusher territory.
The Golden Eagles added to their lead two plays later when Stull scrambled into the endzone from 27 yards out to give Somerset a 14-3 lead that they would take into halftime.
The second half began with the two teams trading possessions until Stull made another big play late in the third quarter. After a Bishop McCort fumble at the Somerset 37-yard line, Stull took the next snap and ran 63 yards for another score. The extra point gave the Golden Eagles a 21-3 lead.
The fourth quarter began with Somerset poised to add to the lead, but senior
Nemo Trexler intercepted Stull's pass at the 5-yard line to end the threat. The Crushers caused another turnover on Somerset's next possession when junior
