The Last Time:
Central Cambria used a pair of late scores to break open a tie game and defeat Bishop McCort 33-21 on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Point Stadium.

The Crushers tied that game 21-21 midway through the third quarter when sophomore quarterback Levi Cook took the snap and sprinted 32 yards for a touchdown.

The Red Devils answered on the following drive as Will Seymour found Tim Davis for a 17-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion failed, and Central Cambria clung to a 27-21 lead heading into the final quarter.

Bishop McCort looked poised to take the lead early in the final quarter as they drove deep into Red Devil territory. But Cook was stopped short on fourth down inside the Central Cambria's 20-yard line, and the Red Devils took over possession of the ball.

Seymour led Central Cambria 81 yards on eight plays, and sealed the game with a 10- yard touchdown run with just over two minutes left. Another failed two-point conversion set the final score at 33-21.

To begin the game, the Red Devils jumped out to an early lead scoring 14 first quarter points. After the Crushers lost a fumble on the opening possession, it took Seymour just six plays to find the endzone with a 29-yard pass to Tyler Adams. After forcing Bishop McCort to punt on the next possession, Seymour again led his team on an impressive scoring drive marching 63 yards in 12 plays culminating in a 9-yard scoring strike to Davis.

The Crushers fought back early in the second quarter. Bishop McCort's offense needed just three plays to score their first points of the game. Cook found senior receiver Corey Hall for a 29-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 14-7.

The Red Devils began the next possession in Crusher territory thanks to long kickoff return, and Seymour capitalized quickly as he needed just three plays before scoring from three yards out to make it 21-7.

The Crusher defense made a big play just before halftime to swing the momentum and cut into the lead. Central Cambria faced a third down inside Crusher territory with just over a minute left in the half as they attempted to increase their lead. As Seymour dropped back to pass, he was hit and fumbled. Freshman Anthony Walters scooped up the loose ball and sprinted 45 yards for a Crusher touchdown to close the gap to 21- 14 at halftime.

The Crushers carried the momentum over into the second half as they intercepted Seymour on the opening possession before Cook's touchdown tied the game.

Cook led the offense with 163 yards on 16 carries with a rushing and passing touch- down. The Crushers also outgained the Red Devils on the ground piling up 223 yards rushing as a team.

Week 8 Recap:
Bishop Guilfoyle handed the Crushers a 56-3 defeat. The win moved Guilfoyle to 8-0 and raised their winning streak to 24 state games, while McCort dropped to 1-7 on the year.

Bishop Guilfoyle received the opening kickoff, and wasted little time getting into the scoring column. The Marauders had a quick 8 play 63 yard drive that resulted in an Evan Chadbourn touchdown run to give them a 7-0 lead. The Crushers answered with a time-consuming drive, but failed to convert on a fourth down attempt. Guilfoyle quickly scored to take a 14-0 lead after one period.

The Crushers began the second quarter with some rhythm on offense. They drove the ball deep into Guilfoyle territory before the offense stalled at the 15 yard line. Shane Steele came on and booted a 32 yard field goal to cut into the lead at 14-3.

The two teams traded possessions throughout much of the second period, but it was Guilfoyle that eventually found the end zone on an Aaron Yasuiltas run to take a 21-3 advantage. On the ensuing kickoff, Carnell Andrews had a dazzling 84 yard kickoff return deep into Guilfoyle territory. The Crushers missed a 27 yard field goal attempt with 1:51 remaining in the half, and it gave the Marauders enough time to punch it two more times to make it 35-3 heading into halftime.

The Crushers second half started with some impressive running by Anthony Walters, but eventually McCort was forced to punt. Guilfoyle scored on their first play from scrimmage to go ahead 42-3, and it set the running clock in motion. Bishop Guilfoyle added one touchdown in the third and another one on the fourth to set the final at 56-3.

The McCort offense was paced by Anthony Walters' 77 rushing yards and 32 receiving yards. Levi Cook led the way with 97 passing yards, while Carnell Andrews chipped in 161 yards on kick returns. McCort will head to Ebensburg Friday to take on Central Cambria.
