Mike Burgo, a 1981 McCort graduate, begins his seventh season on the Crusher staff. Coach Burgo’s main responsibilities include individual skill development and off-season coordinator.
Coach Burgo is the school’s all-time career leader with 522 assists and is second all-time with 234 assists in a single season. Mike also set a UPJ Mountain Cat Tournament record in 1980 with 18 assists in a single game.
Mike is employed by Gleason Technology. Mike resides in Johnstown and has two sons, Josh, a 2012 Bishop McCort graduate and Jacob, a 2014 Bishop McCort graduate.
